The Book: The Girl with the Pigtails
‘Why do you always think I’m not afraid?’ I don’t do things because I’m not afraid; I do them because I have to. And because things always work out. Because I’m a girl. ‘If you were really scared…’ he begins. (…) ‘You unlearn fear,’ I say, because that’s what Frans says. ‘And if I die,’ I continue, ‘I will have done the right thing.’ ‘If you die?!’ Peter’s voice is sharp. ‘What are you doing? What are you saying yes to?’
In 1941, Freddie and her older sister join the armed resistance. They seduce high-ranking Nazis and lure them into the woods, where they are killed by fellow resistance fighters. Then the sisters are given a pistol themselves, and Freddie swings back and forth between fear and courage, doubt and pride. Can you kill another person without changing yourself? Who can she still trust? Then she makes a shocking discovery…
We are currently looking for supporters – both partners and investors –
to help bring this project to life. With the international team we would like to produce a documentary of the process and all the important people who are making this movie and having a great importance for the book, production. And as well people who lived in real life during the world war II.
By joining us, supporters can contribute in two key ways:
To promote the documentary and your brand, your business and help us spread the story and this movie. Being part of the contribution and come to the premiere in Haarlem/Amsterdam. And the most important goal is to be against war and be a hero.
