Over the past five years, we have created all the campaigns for the United Nations. At Vnieuws, we are committed to supporting the United Nations, with a particular focus on the campaigns of UN Women Netherlands.
UN Women is the United Nations organization dedicated to women’s rights and gender equality. Through its field offices, UN Women implements projects in over 90 countries. In New York, the organization applies diplomatic pressure on governments to change discriminatory laws and policies.
Not only did we launch the Orange the World campaign, the Water Challenge campaign, and the UN Women TV channel, but we have also supported the HeForShe campaign every year.
The HeForShe campaign
Equal treatment of women and men is not just a women’s issue — it is a matter of human rights. More and more men and women are raising their voices to help build a gender-equal world. A world where women and men are entitled to equal treatment and equal opportunities. A world without prejudice, discrimination, or violence against women.
HeForShe invites men and boys to speak out for a world where men and women have equal opportunities, and where there is no place for discrimination or violence against women. To date, more than one million men around the world have joined the HeForShe movement.
UN Women encourages its partners to take part in our global campaigns, which reach a wide audience. These campaigns are designed to drive collective action and solutions for globally shared challenges that are critical to women and to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The HeForShe campaign focuses on activating and engaging men — including CEOs and other leaders — in the advancement of women’s rights and gender equality.
